Keeping this short and sweet!

FALL 2020 FNFVF! Call for Entries is now open. However, due these extenuating circumstances, we will be LIMITING the number of entries accepted. This is in case venues do not re-open by November 1st and we need to move the festival online.

What about the Spring 2020 festival? Stay tuned for an announcement on Monday!

Statement: Delay of Spring 2020 FNFVF

To all current filmmaker applicants and to our patrons:

Firstly, apologies for the lateness in response to the COVID sheltering. We hope you are all taking necessary precautions in these times, and supporting movements when able. This pandemic completely dismantled our festival.

Secondly, more apologies for not getting your films screened at our festival. Yet. You placed a trust in us to do so and we are working to get a festival done. As you know, we are a tiny organization – basically the board and myself, whom all volunteer.

We are looking at an online version of the festival by mid-summer. If we get a service together that best suits our philosophy of a free and open screening. We would like to show your film to as wide an audience as possible.

We are working on a distribute page on our website where our audiences can contact you or your distributor directly. With a backlog of over 20 years of submissions to sort, it is taking a lot of time.

We are close to finding a workaround for this. So stay tuned. Unfortunately, this has also delayed our call for entries to the fall festival. But once we figure that out, we will announce it. Provided that we will be able to hold a festival come November. If you want to help, just continue to spread the word about our festival.

I hope you are doing well in these time. Be well. Be safe. Best of luck. We’ll be in touch.

With respect,

Ernest M Whiteman III – Northern Arapaho
Director, FNFVF Inc
