Spring 2021 FNFVF Call for Entries Now Open!

Skokie, IL – First Nations Film and Video Festival Inc. announces the call for entries for the Spring 2021 FNFVF is opening on February 1st. Native American filmmakers can submit their films for the upcoming festival at FilmFreeway. There is no cost to enter the film festival and films only have to meet two criteria. They must be made after January 2016, and the films MUST have a Native American director. The deadline is FEBRUARY 15th, 2021.

Once again, this spring’s festival will take place online May 1 – 10, 2021.

FNFVF Inc is specifically looking for feature films from Indigenous filmmakers of the United States this year. Says Festival Director Ernest Whitman III, “We have great turnout from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and we gladly accept films from the indigenous filmmakers there. Yet, we have had little response from our people in the United States and are looking forward to getting more films to feature.”

First Nations Film and Video Festival is the only film festival that deal directly with Indigenous filmmakers of all skill levels, from beginner to professional, and works to get them a venue for their voice and works. You can submit your film at the FNFVF INC FilmFreeway Page
